Hoop It Forward Half Time Show! Denver Roller Dolls Final Bout! Report! Report!
Here is the Report for the HIF event at the Denver Roller Dolls Final Bout! Hoopers K. Roper, Margarita, Sam, Carolyn C., Anne, Danielle, Jim and Travis, with support staff of Grandpa Roper, and the Mayor, along with Laurie Showed up with about 70 hoops.
I wasn't sure how it was going to go down - we had the track for the half time show, and i was concerned if we could get audience particpation.
Support staff made it a third of the way around the track. 70 hoops gone in 27 seconds. Some adults cried because all the young adults grabbed the hoops and no hoops were available for adults. Hoopers hooped their asses off, and would not relinquish the track for a drawing. Brad Example (DRD announcer) had to weave his way through the hoopers, and a girl hooping did not stop to draw a prize for the half time show.
Denver Police were called, gas and tazers used to disburse the hoopers, and the bout continued.....hoops sent home with participants. Adults were still crying, told to go to the HIF website for more information. Tissues distributed to upset adults.
