It's time! Effigy Proposals, Theme Ideas and Grant Proposals...
Dear Colorado Burners and Friends,
Greetings from the APOGAEA family. In case you're new to this, APOGAEA (aah-poe-gee-ahhh) is Colorado's Local Burning Man Arts and Music Festival. We've got some fun goings ons this Fall, that we wanted to share with you all. In fact, it's one of our many missions, to keep you updated with what's happening and how you can participate, from now until we rock the Front Range. Tentative dates for this year's festival are June 4th through 7th, 2009. Stay tuned for confirmed dates and location.
We can't wait to see the style in which you BRING IT!

We must first build it, before we can burn it! It was a Phoenix in '07, a Squid in '08... what will we warm our dancing bodies by the torching of next year?
Please submit your detailed proposals for the 2009 APOGAEA Effigy, including budget requirements, through the APOGAEA Creative Grants Committee.

If you have a great idea for next year's theme we want to hear it! But hurry, because we will be closing this call come the end of the month. So, you have from now until Nov. 30th to get your ideas to us. The New Theme will be announced in the next online announcement, in mid December.

What is it that YOU want to do/bring/show/perform/play/teach/offer at APOGAEA 2009?
What can YOU offer your community, and how can we help you do that?
The Creative Committee is now accepting creative grant applications for APOGAEA 2009. Keep in mind principles such as Leave No Trace, Participation, and Safety when imagining your creative piece. Following APOGAEA's 2009 theme is not necessary, but is always cool. So stay tuned for that announcement next month.
Applications and all supplemental material will be reviewed by the Apogaea Creative Grants Committee. Grants will be awarded and checks sent no later than February 15, 2009. Best of luck to everyone!
